The music faded. The farm was quiet. The last patrons from the morning festivities at Sonny Acres Farm made their way out. And the scene transformed into one of complete peace and serenity -- the perfect setting for a private moment. The sun was shining as it glistened through the trees. Warm, golden rays of light touched everything in sight. If I didn't know any better, I'd say that the sun was matching the joy that radiated from Angela & Jacob. And there he stood. Poised and confident. Hidden underneath the shade of a nearby tree was Jacob, ready to see Angela. I had joked with him that he was definitely going to cry when he saw her, and to my surprise he confidently said, "Oh, I know I will." Spoiler alert. He was right! And then there was Angela, as radiant as ever and absolutely glowing in all of her bridal beauty. She took a deep breath and smiled from ear to ear as she walked towards him. I could have sworn that Angela was holding her breath as she placed her hand on his shoulder. Jacob turned around with the biggest smile on his face. Without hesitation, they embraced each other in a heartfelt hug. They held each other close, pulling apart only to share a few sweet kisses. In that moment, their love was undeniable. Both of them admired each other with tears in their eyes and hearts full of love. But that wasn't even the sweetest part. Between endless giggles and wiping away happy tears, they read their vows to one another. They shared promises, dreams, and so much joy about the life they had built together thus far. At the end of their vows, Jacob wiped his eyes one last time, pulled Angela in close, and with a lighthearted laugh said, "Man, I'm so glad we didn't do that in front of everyone!" Their laughter echoed all around us and truly set the tone for the rest of the day. And it was nothing short of magical.
It was the cherry on top of a beautiful moment. A reminder that even in the most heartfelt of times, there’s always room for laughter. Angela and Jacob’s love story is not just filled with emotion and tenderness but also the perfect sprinkle of joy and humor. And, if I had to write a fairytale of my own, Angela and Jacob's story would be it with the opening scene being their first look. I mean all we were missing was the horse-drawn carriage and the talking animals (but even that's not so far-fetched because there were pumpkins on display and there was a petting zoo a short walk from where we were... so, maybe I'm on to something when I talk about their real-life fairytale after all). Maybe they'll let me be their fairy godmother? A gal can dream...
But in all seriousness, the raw emotion, the joy, and the love they poured into each other was so beautiful to witness. In the stillness under that tree, with the world fading away, it was just the two of them. No one else’s eyes, no distractions—just pure, unfiltered love. You could feel how deeply they care, and it was an example of what true love looks like. I think that stems from their story in general. Once upon a time, two young kids fell in love and grew up together. Two young kids who became such loving, caring, and genuine people. Those people created a beautiful life with one another all while keeping that fire in their hearts alive. I don't know if you remember from their engagement session, but Jacob is a firefighter. So it's cheesy to talk about keeping a fire alive, but I had asked them to bring the same spark from their session to their wedding day. And they brought the heat, that's for sure. I don't think that's very hard for them to do because they have such admirable chemistry. They anticipate each other's needs like how Angela had a tissue handy for Jacob during their first look. They laugh at each other just as easily as they laugh with one another especially in a moment like Jacob using a Dyson Airwrap to dry his pants after a drink mishap. They feel absolutely comfortable and at ease with one another, and it showed in all the sweet moments that they were completely in their own world, stealing kisses and giggling at one another even when all eyes were on them. They bring out the best in each other. They love fiercely. They laugh often. They have so much fun with one another. And they just truly add so much joy and light into the world around them. I could go on forever, but I hope at this point you get the gist of what an honor it is to know Angela and Jacob!
So, in much fewer words, Angela and Jacob, thank you. That's really it. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I am truly blessed and honored to know you. So, thank you for opening your hearts and welcoming me into your beautiful story. Thank you for allowing me to capture the fire that fuels your relationship. Thank you for simply being you. Thank you for your loving friendship and for asking me at the end of the night if we could still be friends because my answer will forever be a 'YES!'. And thank you for all the beautiful memories we've made together. These are absolutely the kind that will linger in my heart forever!
