The sun was shining bright on that beautiful Sunday. Flowers lined the pathways. Butterflies and bees flew around us. It may have been hot out, but that wasn’t going to stop us from celebrating. Excitement and anticipation filled the air. Kimberly and Jacob’s first touch was about to happen. It was important for Jacob to not see Kimberly until she walked down the aisle. So of course, we weren’t going to let any peeking happen. It felt right to set Jacob up in front of the Hummingbird House wall that has a marquee spelling out LOVE, with plants and greenery filling the letters. So there he patiently stood. His back was turned away but his eyes were still squeezed shut. He wasn’t going to risk seeing his beautiful bride before it was time. She slowly walked up behind him, her smile beaming as bright as the sun. With Kimberly standing there, Jacob squeezed his eyes closed even tighter. As they spoke with each other for a few moments, we heard Jacob say the sweetest thing. He said, “You always look beautiful. Even with my eyes closed you look beautiful.” These simple yet heartfelt words really showed the essence of their love – unconditional and full of adoration. Jacob may not have been able to see her, but he already knew how amazing Kimberly looked. He was right, she DID look beautiful. But he didn’t need to see her to know that. He could feel her beauty. Her happiness. It was radiating. Undeniable.
We were honestly impressed with Jacob’s willpower in that moment with Kimberly. After vows were read and gifts were exchanged, they stood there together. Taking in the moment. They even turned face-to-face. They held hands, talked, laughed. And through all that, Jacob kept his eyes shut. He was committed to not seeing Kimberly until she walked down the aisle. He wasn’t about to ruin that moment. But their love for each other is what stood out the most. It was so apparent for everyone to see. Neither of them could wipe the smiles off their faces. We could feel their happiness. Flash forward to the ceremony. Jacob’s moment finally came. Seeing his bride for the first time. He couldn’t keep his eyes off her. Well actually, Jacob couldn’t keep his eyes off Kimberly the entirety of the night. We don’t blame him, she looked like a supermodel. Jacob continued to compliment how amazing she looked and told us multiple times that he couldn’t stop looking at her. It was so sweet to see his reaction to how beautiful Kimberly looked over and over again. We know Kimberly felt the love and had a full heart the whole day.
Seeing these two together on their wedding day was no surprise to us. They are such a happy couple. The world is full of smiles and laughter when Kimberly and Jacob are around. If you remember from their engagement session, Kimberly and Jacob are just full of love. There is never a dull moment with them. They are constantly having fun together. While Kimberly is on the quieter side and Jacob is energetic and talkative, they fit together like perfect puzzle pieces. They complement each other so well while also bringing out the best in each other. Just like the moment during Kimberly and Jacob’s first touch, their love is sweet. And it is evident to anyone lucky enough to be around them. Jacob showered Kimberly with compliments while Kimberly always made sure Jacob looked his best for photos. You can see in their eyes how much love they have for each other. They radiate joy and warmth. And they were SO excited to finally be married. It was the cutest when they couldn’t contain their excitement during their beautiful garden ceremony. Jacob even had little jitters as he waited for the officiant to finally tell him he could kiss his bride. Watching these two together is honestly such a beautiful thing.
Kim and Jacob, you did it! You are officially married and we couldn’t be happier for you. Thank you with all our hearts for trusting us with your most precious memories. From your sweet first touch, your perfect dip as you walked back down the aisle, all your friends chanting the Aggie War Hymn, and your romantic private first dance. Your day was filled with so many amazing memories. Hearing your loved ones speak so highly of you, it’s clear you two are destined to be together! We know your love will take you far, and we feel so blessed to have been able to witness the start of your forever. Your hashtag may have been #KimwinstheJakepot, but we think BOTH of you won the jackpot with each other. Cheers to the new Mr. and Mrs.!
