The rain had finally stopped. But there was still a chill in the air. We found ourselves cruising down Michigan Ave after a beautiful time at LM Studio. The music was softly playing in the background and a sense of complete serenity engulfed us. This was perfect. Especially because we originally had big plans to end with an epic view of the skyline. But, Chicago let us know that wasn't going to work out in our favor and covered all the buildings in the distance with a thick layer of fog. Okay. Plan B. The Chicago Theater it is. Kristen was having the time of her life. There was a little twinkle in her eye as she looked up at Baba. Her arms were wrapped around his neck and his around her waist. Her smile beamed so bright, it was as if she lit up the night sky. Baba hesitantly returned a big grin as he laughed nervously and glanced at all the people watching and cheering for them. A few photos later, we hopped back in the car, our hearts full of joy and the air filled with laughter. And that's when it hit me. How much fun I was having with them. While in the car, we talked about everything under the sun - vacations, restaurants, our beloved dogs, and even shared some jokes about how slightly embarrassed Baba was to be dancing with Kristen in the middle of a busy Chicago street. I was completely enamored with all the sweet moments that were unfolding as the night continued.
There were so many wonderful moments and belly laughs that I could speak about from Kristen and Baba's session. But these little in between ones have found such a special place in my heart. Mainly because it's just Kristen and Baba being themselves. And I loved every second of witnessing their personalities shine. But more-so because I realized in the car that it felt like I was spending the evening with two of my best friends, making plans on a whim and having a blast while doing so. I don't know if they could tell or not, but I really couldn't keep the smile off of my face as we chatted away. Kristen and Baba are just SO easy to talk to. They have the kindest hearts and the most calming spirits. They definitely feel like the type of people you can call up and chat with for hours, even if you really have nothing important to say. There is a touch of love in the way they interact with people, it just draws you in and makes you want to be around them. And I think that stems from how much they adore one another. They truly accept each other for all that they are and care for one another so deeply. Kristen and Baba have a sophisticated, passionate relationship but also know how to make one another smile endlessly. They proved on more than one occasion during their session that they live life by going with the flow and just enjoying their time together. Which is a beautiful life reminder to say the least. It's okay if things don't always going as planned. Sometimes, the magic happens in the spontaneous adventures. Especially because life is too short to worry about everything all the time.
Kristen and Baba, thank you! Thank you for letting me be a little part of your love story. Thank you for turning a gloomy day into one of the most heartwarming and memorable evenings by simply being you. We didn't need the skyline to make it an epic night; your love is epic all on its own and paired with the laughter and fun moments simply made everything perfect! And lastly, thank you for showing me how important it is to surround myself with such joyful, faithful, loving people as yourselves. Appreciate you two more than I can put into words and I am literally counting down the days until we get you married!
