Family sessions are one our favorites because we love seeing our families interact together since everyone’s personalities shine through. This was extra special for two reasons. The first being that it was an extended family session that took place because everyone was in town for the holidays. We don’t have the pleasure of photographing extended families often, so it was a nice change of pace. The second reason that this session was so special is because they are Emily’s relatives. Her aunt really wanted family photos taken because it was the first time in a long while that their whole family was together. It may seem like working with larger families is harder, but it is actually the opposite. We find that there is more interaction between them all and it is easier to make them all laugh, which was definitely the case with the Furlets. We also loved the location we photographed at for their session because it was a bit different than any location that we normally use. When we were location scouting and found this spot, we knew that those white doors were a must!! We had so much fun at this session and we are so honored to have photographed such a memorable time for Emily’s family.
