For those of you who follow us on Instagram know we did a session giveaway at the end of our last season and we were so excited that Amanda was our winner. Emily has actually known Amanda and Raymarc since high school, so it is always a special time to reconnect through photography. We laugh every time we think back to how long it took us to find a date for this session because normally we have issues with waiting for the snow to melt, but in this case, we wanted snow! Amanda was so excited and super set on having a snowy engagement session but the weather wasn’t in our favor this time. We either had no snow at all or way too much snow, so we all agreed to move forward with their second choice and photograph at this forest preserve without snow. We are SO glad we went this route because it was such a beautiful evening! We typically don’t choose forest preserve locations in the winter because there are no blooms or greenery and everything is very brown, however after Amanda and Raymarc’s session, we are now obsessed! The light was so beautiful and the simplicity of the bare trees made them stand out. Not to mention, these two have such a fun and playful love for each other and are so photogenic. It was an evening filled with lots of laughter and exciting talk about their wedding coming next May. Can you tell we are excited for that day?!
