We could hear the echo of the party outside. The reception under the stars at Galleria Marchetti was in full swing. It was THE place to be on that perfect Saturday night. The music was so lively. The dance floor was packed. Glow sticks were painting the black sky and acting as unicorn horns (don’t look at us, that’s a Nick thing). Laughter filled the air and touched every person present. There was so much love filling that space, some might say it was overwhelming. But in the best way possible. With all that joy and commotion, we found ourselves in the bridal suite. There was a moment of stillness among the beautiful celebration ensuing around us. And it is a moment that we will cherish forever. Dana sat on the light blue velvet couch. She leaned back and simultaneously let out the biggest sigh of relief. She experienced pure relaxation for the first time that day and placed her feet up on the table, showing off her bejeweled Air Force 1s. She smiled at us and we at her. If you know them, Dana and Nick make it hard to do anything but smile when you’re with them. We sat chatting and giggling like old friends just catching up while we waited for Nick to join us. He strolled into the room assuming that we were up to some trouble as we told him to take a seat. We had a surprise for them. Just a little preview of their day. We were nervous. We were excited. We just wanted them to be happy because their happiness is our happiness. Their reaction was the moment that is currently at the top of our list of favorite memories to date.
We’re going to keep the suspense going for a little longer and preface the rest of the story by saying that their entire day was the epitome of perfection. Every moment Dana and Nick shared, every inside joke, every happy tear shed, and every tiny detail came together in such a magical way. We couldn’t have been happier for them, so you can only imagine the utter joy that was radiating off of these two. We didn’t think it was possible, but, when we surprised them, their smiles grew even bigger. Dana and Nick were glowing. They giggled and gasped as they relived the moments from earlier in the day. And that’s when it happened. In unison, they thanked us. We would give an exact rendition of what they were saying, but we wouldn’t do it justice. Time truly stood still as we saw the sincere, loving way that these two were looking at us. Their words touched our hearts so deeply. And our eyes began to water. It was such an emotional and powerful moment. It is the embodiment of what it is like to know Dana and Nick. They love hard. They love each other and they love everyone who has the pleasure of knowing them. To know them is to love them, because it’s impossible to feel any other way when you’re around them. And trust us, you’re going to want to be around these two! Especially because Dana and Nick have this easy way of making you feel like a part of the family. Don’t you remember how quickly we learned this about them at their engagement session? Their entire relationship is built upon laughter and living life to the fullest. It’s mesmerizing and heartwarming.
Dana and Nick, do we have you crying yet? Just trying to return the favor! In all seriousness, thank you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for letting us be a part of your fairytale of a love story. We adore everything about you two. The way you look at each other. The way that you know everything about one another. How your personalities are so similar while also balancing each other out. How organized you are while being equally easygoing. We adore the way that Nick claimed he would need more than one pack of tissues for your first look. And we love how sentimental you are. All the heart eyes because Dana couldn’t have this day without a little piece of so many of your loved ones somewhere on her person. What more can we say? We love your love and are truly so grateful to leave your beautiful day with an amazing friendship. Cheers to forever and more Mr. and Mrs. L! We’re here for the ride because we know yours is going to be a beautiful one!
