The moment had finally come. It was picture perfect. The pews of St. Eugene’s were filled with the happiest of faces. But the church was silent. All eyes were on them in pure admiration. They were standing confidently at the forefront of the altar. Facing each other and holding hands. The sun was peeking through the stained glass windows above them. And they began to recite their vows. Marty first. He was confident. Eloquent. And oh so very proud. He beamed at his beautiful bride as he vowed to love and care for her for the rest of his life. And then we saw it. Emily began to cry. She couldn’t hold it back any longer as the emotions of that moment washed over her. Filled with overwhelming joy and love, she took a deep breath and readied herself for her turn. She held onto Marty’s hands tightly and looked him in the eyes. With happy tears falling and her breath getting caught in her throat, she vowed to love him for the rest of forever. It was truly a sight to see.

We know you’ve felt this way before. So incredibly happy. Overjoyed. The fullest heart beating so fast that if you didn’t know any better it would beat out of your chest. We are certain that this is how both Emily and Marty were feeling during their ceremony. In complete awe of each other and the fact that the day had finally come. We know that both of them were a bit nervous about their big day, so we like to think that Emily’s emotions during their vows meant a few things. One being that her cup was majorly overflowing. That their love for one another is SO strong that she couldn’t do anything but cry happy tears. That she admires Marty (and he her) and the shock and excitement of standing in front of her husband was setting in. We also think it meant that all the worries of the day up until that moment were gone. For good reason too. There’s nothing more comforting than being with your person. Which complete sidenote, but we absolutely adore how comfortable Emily and Marty are together. They mesh so seamlessly and bring out the best in one another. They seem to make all aspects of life that much better for one another. Anyway, in that moment, we’re sure that it felt like the world had stopped and it was just the two of them standing there, holding hands, gazing into each other’s eyes, and professing their love for one another. Kind of like a sense of relief. Whatever the reason may be, we thought the sharing of their vows was powerful. It was emotional and raw. There was so much love radiating from the two of them that some of their friends and family began wiping away tears. We couldn’t help but smile watching it all unfold because we’re those sappy photographers who feed off the emotions of your day and endlessly root for you. And watching these two effortlessly makes our hearts happy. Like all the time honestly… remember how we were gushing over their engagement session? You may want a refresher because these two will instantly put a smile on your face.

A big congratulations to you, Emily and Marty! We are so incredibly honored and excited that #CountdowntoCarlino is now more like #FinallyACarlino or #CarlinoEverAfter (sorry we need to work on our hashtag game, haha). Thank you for letting us be a part of your love story. It’s such an amazing story that is truly just beginning. And we love it even more because as we have grown closer to you, we have found that you both are quite the romantics. *Cue the heart eyes*. Your day was perfect in every way and we hope all of your wedding dreams came true. You two have such beautiful personalities and the biggest hearts! We are forever grateful for the memories we made with you both. Cheers to two extraordinary people falling in love and living happily ever after!

P.S. Bring back a little piece of Italy for us. We are SO jealous!
