He gripped the microphone in one hand. The other arm was wrapped tightly around his wife. He was beaming. They were standing at the head of the room at Monty’s Elegant Banquets staring at all of their loved ones. A beautiful blended group of people from Bulgaria and Mexico. Two very different cultures brought together by one of life’s most powerful feelings. Love. It all just made perfect sense. He looked at the smiling faces of his loved ones and thanked them all. Thanked everyone for celebrating with them. Thanked everyone for supporting them. Thanked everyone for helping them along the way. He squeezed Ixiel even tighter and professed his love for her and gave her a smooch. Vasil was getting emotional putting his gratitude and love into words. He was overjoyed. Almost in disbelief that this day was finally here. Amazed at how beautiful life has been to him and Ixiel thus far. And so incredibly happy that their forever had officially begun. It was a beautiful, emotional moment that we wish you all could have witnessed.
There are two things that we love about this. The first being how perfectly Ixiel and Vasil fit together. Like the last two puzzle pieces placed together in perfect harmony. Creating a delightful picture to look at. The picture being their life together. We make mention of the blended cultures because it is always so beautiful to see two people accept one another for all that they are even if it is different than they are accustomed to. They appreciate where the other comes from. They incorporated traditions and music from both backgrounds to celebrate becoming one. And did so effortlessly. They smiled brighter as each moment passed and giggled all night long. That shows us that their love for one another knows no bounds. They love each other wholeheartedly. And fiercely. It shows us that differences will be welcomed and embraced in their life together. And that nothing else matters except being with one another. The second thing we love is Vasil’s emotions. Have you ever been so overwhelmed with joy and happiness that your words failed you? That the moment you are currently in has left you in shock because you almost doubt for a second that it’s real life? That’s the vibe we got from Vasil. That all his and Ixiel’s dreams were coming true. That nothing could make them happier in that moment than finally celebrating their union and being surrounded by their favorite people. They would look at each other and blush from smiling so much. When they kissed after his speech, sparks were flying. Everyone cheered for them. Do you get it yet? How this day was filled with so much love and joy? It was amazing!
Ixiel and Vasil, thank you so much for letting us be a part of your special day! The love you have for one another will last a lifetime and longer. You two were made for one another and we are excited to see what the future holds as you patiently wait for the arrival of your twins! Thank you for braving the coldest day of the year so far to take portraits in the snow. It was quite the experience and we’re glad we shared it with you!
