The rain pelted against the windows. And the wind howled outside. It seemed like the weather had conspired against us. But little did the three of us know, the gloomy day would set the stage for a truly memorable and intimate experience. Seeking refuge from the storm, we found ourselves nestled in the hidden gem of The Old Post Office's entertaining spaces - The Vault (really hoping I remembered the name correctly, haha). A romantic and sophisticated bar lounge. It exuded an aura of elegance that perfectly complemented the vibes Loren and Todd radiated. Loren perched herself on the bar top while Todd stood beside her. Their arms wrapped around each other in a tight embrace. Their eyes locked in a gaze filled with love and admiration. It was then that Loren declared those three words. The ones that hold so much power - "I love you." Todd's grin mirrored the warmth in her voice. But what struck me most was the sincerity behind Loren's words. As I mentioned how much I admired her habit of expressing her love, her eyes began to water. She apologized, attributing it to a nervous habit. But to me, it was evident that her declarations of love held a far deeper meaning.

I need to point out that this specific moment was only one of the many times I heard "I love you" leave their lips. That's why I was so awestruck. It was such a beautiful thing to witness. To see two people love each other so much that all they can do is remind one another just how much they love each other. Loren and Todd share a bond that transcends the ordinary. Their laughter fills the air, and they find comfort and joy in each other's presence. Even on the rainiest of days, they bring out the best in each other. Loren and Todd have a go-with-the-flow nature that makes them so easy to be around. They are just truly happy and genuine people. And it was evident that they will do whatever it takes to make each other happy. I know that Todd's not a huge fan of taking portraits but he put on his best smile and made it through the evening because Loren was by his side and he knew it was important to her. And Loren not only reminded him of her love on more than one occasion, but if I remember correctly, she promised Todd a celebratory drink or two post session. If that isn't the definition of compromise and happiness, I don't know what is. Aside from doting over these two, witnessing this raw and beautiful moment between them left me reflecting on the importance of expressing love openly and frequently. Loren's earnestness served as a reminder that love isn't just something you feel, but something you actively express and nurture. Something I absolutely need to be better about. Can I coin this frequency of expression "the Loren" because I want to be just like her in that regard.

Loren and Todd, what can I say... you left quite the impression on me. As I left our session, I had a new found appreciation for the power of love and the importance of cherishing every moment spent with my loved ones. And I couldn't help but make a silent vow to follow your lead - to let those I hold dear know just how much they mean to me, come rain or shine. So thank you, for being unapologetically you. Thank you for letting me tell your beautiful love story. And thank you for our budding friendship. I am counting down the days until we celebrate you two in September. I have a feeling it's going to be even more beautiful than the moments we shared during your engagement session!
