I heard the pitter patter above me. The rain was coming down. The short walk from The Drake Hotel to the gazebo suddenly seemed daunting even under the cover of our umbrellas. But let's backtrack for a moment. Because up until that point, everything was going according to plan. The sun was shining. It was warm. And there was an undeniable feeling of contagious love in the air. We were getting ready to make our way to the first look and we saw it. That first drop of rain. That first drop of rain that turned into the heaviest downpour of Spring thus far. It was unexpected. But we carried on. And that's how we found ourselves caught in it.

Candace and I made our way to the gazebo where Andrew stood with his back facing us. He was anxiously waiting to see her. Candace was glowing. She seemed unfazed by the weather and radiated confidence as she approached him. If I didn't know any better, I would have said that Andrew's eyes were already starting to water. I gave them both a moment to breathe and told Candace to tap Andrew on the shoulder whenever she was ready. Without hesitation, she took one step towards the love of her life, confidently placed her hand on his shoulder and grinned from ear to ear. Andrew felt her touch, took a deep breath to collect himself and turned around. And in that moment, surrounded by the soft patter of raindrops, their eyes met, and they were speechless. But their smiles said it all. Andrew's tears began to fall and they embraced each other in a hug and shared a sweet, tender kiss. Their laughter filled the air, and for that fleeting moment, it was just the two of them, lost in their own little world.

If you couldn't already tell, I think their first look was absolutely magical. And I loved every part of it. I think it was so heartwarming to see how emotional they both were, especially Andrew. It's no secret that sometimes guys feel embarrassed to show their emotions, but that wasn't the case here. And you know what? I don't blame Andrew. After eight years and two kids together, C&A finally tied the knot! That's absolutely a cause to feel all the emotions! I also love this moment because from the outside looking in, it really did seem like time stood still for them. It was just the two of them hiding out from the rain, taking in every bit of their special moment. Nothing could come between them in that moment, and not even the rain could put a damper on how they were feeling. Now that I think of it, do you know what made this scene more magical? The rain. You know the saying that rain is good luck on your wedding day, right? Well I believe that 110%. It's a sign of good luck and a symbol of enduring love. And as if on cue, the sun peeked through the clouds, casting a warm glow over their love-filled moment. I think all of this speaks volumes to who Candace and Andrew are. They both radiate happiness. They very clearly love each other with all that they have. And from what I know, they just go with the flow. It seems like they embrace whatever life throws their way gracefully together because they make such a beautiful team. They support one another and are so comfortable with each other. The endless giggles we shared during our time together is still ringing in my head and I can't stop smiling because of it! If you ask me, these two are perfect together and they have the cutest little family.

So, Candace and Andrew... THANK YOU! Thank you for letting me be a tiny part of your love story. And thank you for the beautiful reminder that love knows no bounds, not even the weather. Thank you for letting me witness that your love story is a testament to the fact that come rain or shine, you'll weather any storm together, hand in hand, forever. Thank you for sharing your joy with me and for trusting me with your precious memories. I'll forever cherish our time together and absolutely loved hanging out with your precious family! Cheers to you today and everyday!
