Katie and Brian’s story is such a cute one! While their original plans may have changed a bunch of times due to COVID, they still had something special to look forward to early this year. They bought their first house together in Fox River Grove, so it was very fitting that they had a very intimate backyard wedding there. Katie and Brian told us that after the year of planning they had, all they wanted from their day was to have FUN! We think they accomplished that and did so beautifully. First and foremost, we have to bring attention to their details. So much of their day was 40’s inspired and let us tell you that we think that they knocked it out of the park. From her birdcage veil to the music that was playing all day into their reception, it took us back in time! We also loved the little touches like Katie incorporating her grandmother’s pearls, the girls making their bouquets out of paper and book pages, and Brian wearing a wooden bow tie and boutonniere. They put so much thought into all of these details, and we loved how unique it all was.

At some points during their ceremony, we don’t think there was a dry eye present because Katie and Brian’s love for each other is just so sweet. They decided to write and share their own vows. You can see from the photos that there was both laughter and tears shared. We loved the special moment the two of them shared when they each placed a handwritten letter into a wine box for them to open on their ten year anniversary. How sweet is that?! Does someone have tissues for Lexi? Their officiant did a fabulous job at tying in how Katie and Brian met into the ceremony. These two fun lovers actually met on the set of Beauty and the Beast the Musical. We think it is such a treat that they both enjoy theater so much because that is something that they will always bond over. We were in photographer heaven (whatever that may look like) because of their theater backgrounds. They took direction SO well and executed our prompts effortlessly. We shared so many sweet moments and laughs with them during their first portraits as Mr. & Mrs. T. Cheers to many years of magic between you both!
